• Abstract

Russia inherited a supermilitarisized space program; industrial enterprises and scientific organization strongly oriented to the requirements of Ministry of Defence; ground-based space infrastructure under control of military forces. In present situation when Russia is unable to sustain the former volume of military expenditures, when the level of world military opposition drastically decreased, qualitative changes in correlation of military and civil cosmonautics are needed.

• The aim of the program:

to elaborate and to support measures on demilitarization of Russian cosmonautics

• Main program's directions:

.

evaluating perspectives of realization of existing military space projects;

substantiating variants of demilitarization of space activities in Russia Federation;

studying problems of using military space potential in national economy;

analyzing possibilities for international cooperation in the field of military space activities.

• The program includes the following projects:

"Cosmodrome" - elaboration of projects of structural innovations on launching cites "Plesetsk" and "Baikonur"

"Status " - studies in the history of realization of military space projects
